TMS is covered by Veterans Affairs Canada and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB). Some private insurers may provide coverage on a case-by-case basis. However, MSP does not cover TMS, so treatment is typically an out-of-pocket expense.
Each 3-minute iTBS session (600 pulses) costs $180. The accelerated TMS (aTMS) protocol for depression and anxiety consists of 5–8 treatments per day, spaced an hour apart, for 5 consecutive days. Payment is completed at the end of each treatment day.
